The final site of the Top 11 Labor History Landmarks in New York City is the Lower East Side Tenement Museum.
Located at 97 Orchard Street, the Lower East Side Tenement Museum has meticulously recreated the homes of the real-life immigrant families who once lived in the building between 1863 and 1935. Museum visitors can explore the apartments to get a glimpse of the everyday challenges immigrants faced in the tenements or take guided walking tour of the Lower East Side neighborhood.
